Absence of action or a clash between your thoughts and action is what’s keeping you stuck.
For change to happen, our thoughts and actions need to be aligned. If you want to be more confident, but you keep on staying in your comfort zone, you’re sending two different signals to your brain. And the stronger signal always comes from the action, rather than the thought.
If you’re trying to reshape your beliefs about yourself, but you’re taking action or rather absence of action that doesn’t reinforce your new beliefs, transformation can’t happen.
You can’t change your self-concept with thought alone. To be, you need to do. And to do, you need to be. They are interlinked, and one can’t happen without the other.
You need to take the action that reinforces the thoughts. Action proves to your brain and to your nervous system that you are indeed this New You — aka the True You.
The True You—the bigger, bolder, more confident version of yourself is who you really are. Your current you is the Lie. To transcend the lie, you need to act not as the current you, but as the True You. Reality has a physical and a metaphysical form— and change needs to occur on both planes.
Take action. And take action not as your past self, but as your future self.
