Confidence is in the mind and in the body. When we’re secure in ourselves, our body language, our speech, our eyes reflect that. There’s a calmness, stability and playfulness to our manner. We are joyful and soft in a way that can only arise in the absence of anxiety and fear.
This works in reverse, too. if we doubt ourselves and don’t have the level of intellectual confidence around something we want to have, it helps to step into it on a physical level. If we stood a little taller and straighter, if we relaxed and smiled more widely, if in the physical dimension we became the person who has the mental confidence we want to have, the mental shift often follows in response to that.
