The nondual shadow

The shadow is a great teacher to self-love. It points to the parts of us we’re trying to chop out and disown.

Counterintuitively, the peace is in accepting and integrating all these parts we negatively judge, not in disowning them.

Non-dual thinking helps in removing the resistance to the shadow. When we appreciate that all qualifications and categories are creations of the mind and all thoughts and words abstractions of reality, rather than reality itself.

In other words, there is life and there are our stories about it. Our stories are qualitative. We see things as either good or bad, wanted or unwanted, strong or weak. Yet, nothing happens without everything happening. And one person’s good is someone else’s bad.

Things are — good and bad, strong and weak. Or for a shortcut, they just are.
