Stepping into our full power

When life is challenging and hurtful, we tend to attribute this to our falling short in some capacity. Maybe our business isn’t growing at the rate we want it to grow, or people are not treating us with the respect we deserve, or we’re not losing the weight we want to lose, we all often find ourselves being not as happy, vital and free as we know we can be. There’s a sense that the life we’re living isn’t the life we’re meant to be living. And whether there’s one main reason for that or a myriad small ones, we wonder what we’re doing wrong and how we can become better.

But most likely, the reason we’re suffering isn’t because we’re not good enough, it’s because we’re too good for the life we’re currently living. We hurt not because we’re not powerful, but because we’re too powerful.

When we’re not stepping into our full power and we play a game that’s smaller than the game we are able to play, life responds by throwing challenges and making us suffer.

If you’ve been failing to meet a goal, or feel more intimacy in your relationships, or attain a deeper level of happiness in some area in your life, don’t ask yourself how you can improve – ask yourself where you aren’t aligning with the true potentiality of who you really are. Where are you pretending to be smaller than you are, less powerful than you are, less significant than you are? And when you know, step into your full potentiality.

When we align with our true essence and power, life responds accordingly.  Opportunities start to appear, hurdles dissolve, relationships change. Life doesn’t let us get away with playing a game smaller than we are.
