Unless we see things as they are–as they really are–we can’t do anything about them. Raw honesty is fundamental. We are often scared of it, because we are afraid of the answers it may reveal. But in my experience and in the experience of the clients I work with–the more scared we are of the questions, the more the answers liberate us.
So, ask the difficult questions:
What’s been recurring?
What are the thoughts, activities and people in my life that drain me more than energise me?
What is truly important to me? (Not what should be important to me—but what is deeply important to me?)
Which of the beliefs and ideas I’ve been living with don’t authentically belong to me?
What have I been avoiding?
What am I most afraid of?
What am I judging myself for?
What emotions am I in when I take decisions that I end up regretting?
