The more a situation we’re in seems to deprive us of choice, the more critical the decisions we make.
Choice is one of the few things we always have control over.
Choosing how we respond, how we relate, what stories we tell ourselves.
Choosing how we treat other people and how we treat ourselves.
Choosing our values and priorities.
It’s in the hopeless moments that battles are won. That’s when we actually fight for and honour what we stand for in life.
Our actions matter most when we’re under intense pressure to betray our beliefs.
Our trust in the good is most critical when we’re under attack.
Life is a play of polarities. At any given moment we are somewhere on the line between good and evil, trust and despair, passively receiving or actively shaping our experience of life.
And it’s always up to us what we choose.
